Online launch meeting of the Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessment of four horticultural products in Ukraine

The OECD organised this online meeting with the support of GIZ Ukraine to formally launch the work on the Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessment (CRVA) of four horticultural products in Ukraine under the PROGRESS project.

The purpose of the meeting was to present and discuss the proposed outlines and methodology for four product‑specific reports (apples, walnuts, strawberries and raspberries) and one synthesis report, and to explore how the results can support climate adaptation planning in the agricultural and horticultural sectors in Ukraine. The Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine also presented its climate adaptation priorities.

Participants included representatives of Ukraine’s Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture and the State Forest Resources Agency; the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Ukraine; and experts from Egis and PROGRESS consortium partners.
