PROGRESS Regional Online Meeting
Climate Resilient Agriculture: Good Practices in Eastern Partnership
21 May 2026 | Online (Zoom)
About the Event
The PROGRESS Project held a regional online meeting, "Climate Resilient Agriculture: Good Practices in Eastern Partnership", on 21 May 2026. The event brought together 234 participants from nine countries to present and exchange good and innovative climate-smart agricultural practices developed and tested across the Eastern Partnership (EaP) region. As the second event in a two-part mini-series, following a March 2026 session on German good practices, it focused on practices originating in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine that are more directly replicable across the region given comparable agro-climatic conditions and institutional contexts, in line with EU Green Deal priorities.
Objectives of the Meeting
The meeting aimed to strengthen regional knowledge exchange on climate-smart agriculture across the EaP region.
Key achievements of the event:
Explored good and innovative climate-smart agricultural practices from across the region, structured around five thematic focus areas: digital and precision agriculture; frost protection; renewable energy for climate adaptation (agrivoltaics); green ammonia and e-fertilizer; and in-vitro micropropagation.
Identified practices directly replicable across EaP countries, drawing on comparable farm structures, market conditions, and institutional environments.
Promoted dialogue and cooperation among producers, researchers, and value chain actors across the Eastern Partnership region.
Participants
The meeting brought together agricultural producers, researchers, agricultural and food safety experts, and value chain actors from across the Eastern Partnership region.
