Within the framework of the PROGRESS Project, the European Business Association (EBA Moldova) successfully organized the training programme "Project Management, Access to Finance and Financial Literacy", designed to strengthen the capacities of farmers in the Republic of Moldova to access financing opportunities and develop sustainable investment projects applications.

The programme was delivered online on 6–7 May, 12 May and 19 May 2026 and consisted of five training sessions covering the following key topics:

• Funding landscape
• Application mastery
• Project design for farmers
• Financial engineering and business planning
• Investment sustainability

The training aimed to enhance farmers' knowledge and practical skills in identifying suitable financing opportunities, designing bankable projects, improving financial literacy, and preparing high-quality financing applications.

Approximately 100 participants attended the programme, demonstrating strong interest and active engagement throughout the sessions. The interactive format encouraged open discussions, knowledge sharing, and hands-on learning through practical examples and real-life case studies.

During the programme, participants gained comprehensive insights into the financing opportunities available for the agricultural sector. They strengthened their competencies in project development, business and investment planning, financial management, and the preparation of competitive funding applications. Special attention was given to sustainable and green investments, helping farmers better align their business development plans with current financing priorities.

The "Project Management, Access to Finance and Financial Literacy" training programme made a significant contribution to improving participants' readiness to identify relevant funding opportunities, develop well-structured project concepts, and prepare successful financing applications. By enhancing their project management and financial planning skills, the programme supports the long-term competitiveness, resilience, and sustainable growth of agricultural businesses in the Republic of Moldova.
