On October 4, 2024, Kyiv hosted the presentation of the “EU4ClimateResilience” project and the national conference “PROGRESS: Promoting Readiness for the Green Deal in the Eastern Partnership Countries", where the Institute for Economics and Forecasting of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine was a co-organizer of the conference. The event brought together over 150 researchers, experts, government officials from Ukraine and Germany, business and civil society representatives. Participants discussed climate change adaptation, resilience of the agricultural sector, and Ukraine’s integration into the European Green Deal. Special focus was given to fruit and berry production, processing, exports, green finance, and aligning Ukraine’s legal framework with EU standards. The conference was part of the international PROGRESS project, supported by BMUV, GIZ, and OECD, aimed at preparing Eastern Partnership countries for new environmental requirements.
