Two two-day capacity building workshops were organised on 22–23 November and 27–28 November 2025 within the framework of the PROGRESS and EU4ClimateResilience projects, in close cooperation with ADA University. The workshops brought together farmers, cooperatives, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and agricultural service
providers.
The first workshop, “Water-Smart Agriculture: Efficient Irrigation and Water Conservation” (22–23 November), focused on strengthening knowledge on climate change impacts on water availability and promoting water-efficient irrigation practices.
The second workshop, “Women as Agents of Change in Climate-Resilient Farming” (27–28 November), addressed the role of women-led farms and agribusinesses in advancing climate adaptation and sustainable agri-food systems.
For both workshops, the first day consisted of theoretical sessions, including expert presentations, moderated discussions, and experience sharing. The second day focused on practical learning, with field visits to farms applying good practices, where trainers and host farmers shared hands-on experience and responded to participants’ questions.
A total of 51 participants, including 21 women entrepreneurs and cooperative leaders, took part in the workshops. The activities demonstrated strong interest among local stakeholders in climate-smart solutions, while also highlighting the need for continued technical assistance and targeted business support to ensure the sustainable uptake of best practices.
