The OECD, under the PROGRESS project, is organising a technical workshop on agricultural insurance and climate risk management on 29 January 2026 (17:00–18:15 Yerevan time, online). The event is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen climate resilience in Armenia’s agricultural sector and builds on the OECD stocktaking analysis on financing climate change adaptation conducted for the country.

The workshop will bring together government representatives from Armenia and other Eastern Partnership countries, financial institutions, private insurance providers, development partners and international experts to exchange international experience and good practices in designing agricultural insurance schemes that support climate-resilient agriculture. Discussions will also explore how insurance and risk management instruments can help stabilise farm incomes, protect vulnerable producers, and facilitate access to finance for climate-resilient investments.

The workshop will contribute to ongoing policy discussions on making finance work for climate adaptation in agriculture and inform future technical assistance under PROGRESS project.
